About the Acra hotel in Istanbul’s old city of Sultanahmet

A warm welcome awaits you at our new boutique hotel which is ideally located in the heart of the historical centre of Istanbul in the Sultanahmet area.

We enjoy stunning views of the famous Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia (Ayasofya) and The Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Camii). Very close by; The Byzantine Hippodrome, Basilica Palace Cistern (Yerebatan Sarayi), Istanbul’s Archaeological Museum, The Great Palace Mosaic Museum, The Grand Bazaar , The Spice Bazaar and several other attractions.

The hotel offers 25 guest rooms some with views to the Ancient city, others have sea views, all rooms have simple and elegant decor with a vibrant feel.

The Acra Hotel raises on the remains of the Byzantine Great Palace of Constantinople also known as the Sacred Palace. You can see the 2000 years old remains of the palace at our ground restaurant. The palace was served as the main residence of the Eastern Roman or Byzantine emperors from 330 to 1081 and was the centre of imperial administration for over 800 years.
